The Department of Trade and Industry-National Capital Region (DTI-NCR) and the Bureau of Micro, Small and Medium Business Development (BMSMED), in partnership with the Metro Manila Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Soroptimists International and Office of the Vice Mayor of Quezon City, will be implementing the SME Caravan Program at the Elements at Centris, EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, Quezon City on November 29, 2011, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
The objective of the SME caravan is to provide opportunities to our partner MSMEs to gain additional knowledge and information on the latest trends on products and services both in the local and international market through our invited speakers who have proven their capability and success in their chosen businesses. The caravan will also serve as a venue to meet potential buyers and possible business partnerships as the participants will be coming from the different business sectors in the region like trading, health and wellness, food processing, handicraft and novelty items, and services.
Invited as guest speakers are House Speaker Sonny Belmonte and DTI Secretary Gregory Domingo, all of whom have been very supportive in the promotion and development of MSMEs in the country.
Livewise, the organizers have invited resource persons from the business sector who have been very successful in their fields who will talk on On-Line Marketing, Product Development, Product Branding, and Choosing the Right Market. Their presentation is considered to be very timely as our MSMEs are now pursuing innovations in further enhancing their business operations. Around 500 MSMEs from NCR, specifically from Quezon City, is expected to participate in this activity.
