DTI-NCR and DOLE to Launch Diskwento for Employees

Diskwento is DTI-NCR?s response to Pres. Gloria Arroyo?s instruction to provide additional non-wage benefit for employees to help them cope with the current global food and energy crisis? DTI Assistant Secretary Angel L. Pelayo explained.

This activity seeks to improve employees? access to affordable basic and prime commodities through the mobilization of retail outlets selling these products at manufacturer?s price, 10-20% lower than the prevailing market prices.

NFA rice, noodles, sardines, bread, processed meats, milk and other basic and prime commodities are some of the products sold at discounted prices.

This is also in celebration of DTI-NCR?s 1st Anniversary at Highway 54 after decentralizing the previously congested business registration center in Buendia, Makati City? Asec. Pelayo added.
