Steps and Requirements:

  1. The applicant must be a Filipino, at least 18 years of age.
  2. Only the owner of the business is authorized to sign the application form. Filipinos whose names are suggestive of alien nationality, and those who have acquired Filipino citizenship must submit photocopy of proof of Filipino citizenship (e.g. Birth certificate, Voter’s ID, PRC ID). Original copy must be presented for comparison. If applicant is of alien nationality, kindly refer to the back of the application form for other necessary requirements.
  3. Accomplish the application form (in duplicate). Application forms are available in the area offices. Forms may also be downloaded from the DTI-NCR website http://www.dtincr.ph/downloads.php
  4. Proceed to the DTI-NCR office nearest you and secure a priority service number.
  5. Once the number is called, submit filled-up application form and other requirements to the BN examiner for evaluation and processing.
  6. Pay Php 150.00 for registration processing fee and Php 15.00 for documentary stamp.

For Renewal, present copy of old BN certificate and application form together with the requirements for new registration. A surcharge of Php 100 should be paid if filed beyond the three (3) months grace period. Failure to renew BN within 6 months from date of expiration would mean deletion of BN from DTI records, and would require new application.

the fast and easy way

Here’s how:

  1. Go to www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph and click “Create Account.”
  2. On the “Create Account” page, fill in the required information, then click “Save.”
  3. Your log-in account and default password will be e-mailed to the e-mail address you supplied. Use them to sign in.
  4. Click “Online Services” at the lower right end of the page.
  5. Click the type of application you need.
    1. For new application –click “New Application
    2. For renewal –click “Renewal”
    3. For Amendment/s – click “Change Business Information”
  6. Once you have opened the application, fill-in the required information until you reach the “Transaction Reference Number” (TRN) page.
  7. Print this page and exit application. Write your name and affix your signature at the space provided.
  8. An “Email Notification of Approval (ENA) will be sent to your email address. Print the ENA once received.
  9. For payment of your registration, you may proceed to the DTI-NCR office nearest you. There is a special lane for web applicants where you may submit all required documents. Fees include Php 150 for processing and Php 15 for the documentary stamps.

Or you may opt to pay through GCash*. An official receipt will be sent to your email. Affix the OR number to your application. Your certificate of business name registration will then be sent to your email ready for your printing.
